ABOUT - Liz Amberly

Liz Amberly is a writer of scripts for stage and screen . Her screenplay A Double Whammy appeared on PBS (the film won the Reel 13 Award) and she recently finished writing, filming and being featured onscreen in segments of the TV show Let’s Learn also on PBS (Nominated for the Public Media Award.)

Liz's play Embers was semi-finalist in the Eugene O’Neill National Playwrights Festival in 2019, and she has written numerous full-length and short plays which are performed across the USA and UK and published by Samuel French and others.

Liz also writes for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (published by Penguin Random House) giving creative tips to parents about engaging children in reading, and she is an educator at the DOE.

In addition, she is an actress and singer. She has acted in leading roles in Mesquite, NV, Five O’clock and Interchange (Critics Pick Play of the New York Times.) As a musical theater performer she appeared in shows including Fair Liberty’s Call in which she played Susanna Bainbridge and is a featured soloist on the original cast album.
